Our property: The My Vet Copilot platform, including its software, design, AI models, templates, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.
Your data: You retain full ownership of all documents, personal information, and content you upload to the Service. We claim no ownership over your data. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service to you.
We are not a law firm. My Vet Copilot does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for an attorney. The information and documents generated by the Service are tools to assist you, not legal counsel.
We are not accredited VA representatives. We are not accredited by the VA as claims agents or attorneys. We do not file claims on your behalf or represent you before the VA. You are responsible for reviewing and submitting all documents yourself.
We do not provide medical advice. The Service does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or replace professional medical care. Always consult qualified healthcare providers for medical decisions.
No guarantees. We do not guarantee any particular outcome for your VA claim. Claim decisions are made solely by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Vet Copilot and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
Health Information: The Service handles Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with HIPAA. We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards including encryption at rest (AES-256), encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), role-based access controls, and audit logging. We do not sell, share, or monetize Veteran health data.
Breach Notification: In the event of a breach of unsecured PHI, we will notify affected users within 60 days of discovery in accordance with HIPAA Breach Notification Rules (45 CFR §§ 164.400-414). Users will be informed of the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, and steps to take.
Data Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated PII/PHI by contacting privacy@myvetcopilot.com. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.
The Service offers optional integration with VA.gov through the VA Lighthouse API. By connecting your VA.gov account:
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.
By you: You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (within 30 days, with encrypted backups retained up to 90 days for disaster recovery).
Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred before termination, including any liability for misuse of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the website or sending an email to your registered address at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
